Frequently Asked Questions
Our FAQ page aims to cover the questions we get asked on a regular basis.
The Marine cubes are around 1.5m on each side.
The cubes for freshwater measure around 10cm on each side.
We are adding locations around the UK to regenerate coastal reefs that have been damaged. Our initial location is Torbay off the Devon Coast in Southwest England.
The freshwater cubes are much smaller and are therefore suitable for a wide range of freshwater locations even including placement in private garden ponds. We have many crematoria and funeral director partners that provide placement and ceremony options. Please get in touch with us for information.
The memorial cubes are made from MarineCrete and recycled aggregate and sand that is a byproduct of the quarrying industry. MarineCrete is a special low-carbon concrete that is PH neutral and suitable for the marine environment – unlike Portland cement does not require high temperatures.
All cremated remains are kept in our secure and monitored storage premises and carefully looked after.
The cremated remains are carefully added to the MarineCrete mixture as the cubes are formed so they become an integral part of the structure and will last for hundreds of years.
